PUTIN PROPOSED TO LINK BY HIGH-SPEED COMMUNICATION KAZAN AND OTHER CITIES FOR WORLD CUP 2018

Russian cities in which games will be played during the football world championship in 2018 should be combined into a network of high-speed railway service. This proposal was made by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the presidium of the government. "I think we should adjust the program for the development of high-speed roads, accelerate the process of starting-up new facilities and routes. In particular we need to link with the high-speed communication the cities in which games will be played during the World Cup-2018" - said Putin. He also recalled that at the present time high-speed trains in Russia go in three directions: Moscow - St. Petersburg, Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod and St. Petersburg - Helsinki. According to Russias Transport Minister Igor Levitin the investments for that construction should come from the European producers of railway carriages. President of Russias state railway RZD company Vladimir Yakunin commented that at a distance of approximately 600 km (as he evaluates the mean distance between the cities of World Cup-2018) the speed of 250 km per hour will be sufficient.

PRICES FOR WORLD CUP TICKETS WILL BE APPROVED BY FIFA

The leader of Russia's 2018 World Cup bid Alexei Sorokin commented on how the tickets prices will be formed for the World Cup 2018. "Tickets prices are still not discussed by anybody. Prices will be approved by FIFA, as this event is wholly owned by the federation, and it takes all major decisions of the World Cup. Prices for tickets to Mundial World Cup 2018 certainly will not differ much from the ticket prices for the previous two world championships. They cannot be radically different.
Ordinary category ticket costing 2000 USD is out of question, if only in the world is going to happen something radical. The latter we are not considering seriously. Everything will be within the usual framework, "- said Sorokin, at the conference organized by the website Lenta.ru.

BY 2018 RUSSIA WILL HAVE THE MOST "CORRECT" SOCCER STADIUMS IN THE WORLD

"By 2018, we will provide FIFA the new stadiums that will be much more modern than many available today in the world, they will be built in accordance with all requirements of FIFA (which, incidentally, are updated from the championship to the championship). For the 2018 they are sufficiently strict, for example, require that the stadium should have 20 hectares of free land around it that few countries can posses. Therefore, we will do everything correctly, in accordance with FIFA requirements, and by 2018 we will have the most correct stadiums. Plus, we have a government guarantee that all the stadiums will be constructed. These guarantees were signed by the Prime Minister," - said Sorokin.
